SERVICES AND MEMBERSHIP

Every year, bureau services provides customer service to hundreds of conventions, meetings and sporting events, which includes coordinating housing, volunteers, providing attendance building tools and staff, in addition to creating welcome signage.  2010 will be no exception.  Among the major events coming to metro Detroit in 2010 that the services team will assist are the NCAA® Men’s Frozen Four® and the American Postal Workers.

The bureau services department consists of the following areas:  convention services, housing,  membership,  call center and volunteer services. The department is also responsible for the planning of the DMCVB’s Annual Meeting and Recognition of Service Excellence (ROSE) Award program.

The bureau services team makes members its number one priority.  In 2010, the team’s membership goals include offering incentives for new members and early renewals, attracting and retaining members by continuing to participate with local Chamber of Commerce’s and by the use of social media; and putting increased focus on membership services.  In fact, members will be provided with a value report in 2010 so they know their investment in the DMCVB was money well spent.
