Bobcat Bonnie’s (Opened August 2015, Corktown):

Corktown’s neighborhood gastropub serving fresh, local food such as seasonal sandwiches, small plates and burgers ground in-house plus craft beer and cocktails. The vegan-friendly bar and grill prides itself on affordability.

Central Kitchen + Bar (Opened August 2015, Downtown):

This upscale gastro pub sits in Detroit’s First National Building and serves high end bar food – and liquid nitrogen ice cream – for lunch and dinner in a reclaimed urban space.

Parks & Rec Diner (Opened August 2015, Downtown):

Located in the historic GAR building, this breakfast joint has a classic, old-school diner feel and breakfast staples such as strata, egg-packed menu options and bloody marys.

Detroit Water Ice Factory (Opened August 2015, Downtown):

This dessert shop, founded by Detroit Free Press columnist Mitch Albom, serves up tons of water ice flavors including Motown-inspired favorites. Proceeds are donated to his charity, S.A.Y. Detroit.

Le Petit Dejeuner (Opened July 2015, Midtown):

Explore this menu of French-style breakfast favorites family-style – meaning, you can select multiple items to share for a flat price. Try the crepes and creamy corn pancakes.

Townhouse (Opened July 2015, Downtown):

Located in the One Detroit Center, this bistro offers luxurious seating in a greenhouse-like atrium and inventive contemporary American cuisine along with an extensive menu of craft cocktails, wines, beers and other spirits plus al fresco dining.

The Whisky Parlor (Opened July 2015, Downtown):

This bar’s menu features more than 80 whiskeys and their accompanying cocktails and flights plus a menu of small plates and wine flights. The uniquely-decorated bar sits above Grand Trunk Pub and hosts live jazz and DJ events.

Chartreuse Kitchen & Cocktails (Opened May 2015, Midtown):

This sunny, botanical bistro provides a rustic atmosphere, a small plates menu made from fresh ingredients and classic spirits. Enjoy the floral mural, “living wall” and dried flower installation.

The Corner Tap Room (Opened May 2015, Foxtown):

Located in the former Leo’s Coney Island inside Comerica Park, this restaurant honors Tiger Stadium through memorabilia, replicas and displays. The menus includes “urban bistro” dishes unique to the park and Michigan craft beer. Open for lunch and dinner on game days.

Fatburger (Opened April 2015, Midtown):

This long-running LA-based chain is your classic fast-food joint, serving burgers of all sizes.

Jolly Pumpkin (Opened April 2015, Midtown):

Artisanal draft brews and gourmet casual fare, including brick oven pizza and truffle fries. Distilled spirits and wine also available in the rustic-chic brewery.

Bumbo’s (Opened March 2015, Hamtramck):

Winner of the 2014 Hatch Spot Grant, this bar and restaurant features a fresh take on Polish fare with plenty of vegetarian options. Great place to grab a beer during Happy Hour and watch the game, too.

Chateau Detroit (Opened February 2015, Downtown):

This nightclub overlooks Grand Circus Park and offers an extensive VIP bottle service list, an array of appetizers and classic cocktails. The club hosts a variety of themed parties and music ranging from Motown to electro swing.

Café 78 (Opened February 2015, Midtown):

Located in the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), this café and bar serves everything from Zingerman’s pastries and Anthology coffee for breakfast to soups, salads, sandwiches and Sugar House cocktails in the evening.

Krema (Opened February 2015, Greektown):

Handmade pies, custard-filled goodies, gelato, cronuts and coffee make up this traditional Greek-inspired bakery’s menu.

Brew Detroit (Opened February 2015, Corktown):

This tap room offers seasonal local beer from 10 rotating taps in the raw, industrial setting of their beloved Detroit brewery and welcomes you to bring your own food or order from a delivery menu.

Batch Brewing Co. (Opened February 2015, Corktown):

Detroit’s first nanobrewery produces small-batch handcrafted beer and brew-inspired food in an intimate environment (no TVs, just conversation) with a focus on natural products and a sense of community.

Falafill (Opened January 2015, Midtown):

Award-winning Middle Eastern food on a quick-service platform. A Chicago original, Falafill is a from-scratch kitchen serving bowls, wraps, and pitas.

POP (Opened January 2015, Downtown):

Located in an old private events space above Checker Bar, this pop-up features a weekly rotation of chefs and menus.

Kuzzo’s Chicken & Waffles (Opened January 2015, Northwest):

Get your classic chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, lemonade and Kool-Aid here. Former NFL cornerback Ron Bartell opened this southern comfort food joint to help revamp the Livernois Avenue of Fashion.

Cornerstone Barrel House (Opened January 2015, Downtown):

This fresh food restaurant and whiskey bar has a vast selection of spirits and rustic feel. The Whiskey Disco, an underground cocktail lounge, features local musicians Thursdays through Saturdays as well.
