This women-led fundraising gala aims to celebrate women in STEAM and ignite curiosity in children as STEAM education helps kids to become problem solvers by thinking creatively and asking questions. Affording students in underserved communities access to STEAM education is one of the main goals of Women Rock Science. Funds raised through Women Rock Science support outreach programs, delivered by Cranbrook Institute of Science, to thousands of students across Michigan. This year, your support will mean: 35,000+ students will receive STEAM outreach programs in their classrooms, in-person, or virtually. 10 scholarships to the Institute’s first-ever, girls-only week-long museum career bootcamp. 25+ summer camp scholarships will be offered to girls interested in STEAM at Cranbrook Institute of Science. The launch of a women in science lecture series. To learn more about how you can support or sponsor the event, please visit science.cranbrook.edu/women-rock-science or call 248-645-3220.
