Overlap colors, snip the edges for design, and twist the stem to make the leaf appear as natural as you like. Add a slight bend to your leaf and it will appear to be ‘falling’ or twisting in the wind. This class runs approximately 1.5 hours. In addition to your project you will receive a teacher demonstration, tour of the studio, time to shop in the museum quality gallery, and if you're lucky, an introduction to the studio cat, Batch. To start, we do the Big Bubble Blow™ where participants will use a hollow tube to blow molten glass into the biggest bubble they can! This helps them understand how the molten glass moves and cools, how gravity shapes the molten glass and what to expect from this magical medium. (This bubble will break and is not a take home keepsake.) After this great photo op, the instructor will demonstrate how to make the Percolla Reed. *Please note: The glass must cool from 1200 degrees to room temperature after crafting. 48 hours after your class, your project will be available for pickup in the studio gallery. Shipping is available. The Glass Academy
