This event, the Big, Bright Light Show kickoff, when nearly every downtown Rochester merchant adorns their storefront with lights and turns them all on at once. It’s a shimmering spectacle sure to warm your heart, so stare in awe as you listen to live music from Kincer Catallo & The Violettes, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus (reindeer, too!) or take a horse-drawn carriage around town. It doesn’t stop after Lagniappe. The buildings of downtown Rochester try to outshine one another, blanketing their facades with lights, resulting in an eye-popping childish wonderland that speaks more of Christmas spirit than gifts do. It definitely makes walking around and holiday shopping during Old Man Winter a bit brighter.Downtown Rochester
