Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Presented by Morgan Stanley, this exciting day starts at 8 a.m. in the Ford Freedom Rotunda. Invocation will be delivered by Rev. Nicholas Hood III, Senior Pastor of Plymouth United Church of Christ, followed by musical selections from vocalists Mr. Ken Boyd and Ms. Shahida Nurullah. Guests will then enjoy a full buffet breakfast catered by Touch of Class Catering, followed by a keynote presentation in the GMT. The keynote speaker for #MLKDay2020 is none other than Earl Lewis, Ph.D. President emeritus of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (2013-2018), Dr. Lewis is currently the Thomas C. Holt Distinguished University Professor of History, Afroamerican and African Studies, and Public Policy at the University of Michigan. FREE Museum-wide family activities take place for the rest of the day, with activities including face painting, a live artist, moderated youth discussions, educational films and a lot more!Charles H.
