After this tour, you’ll have a better understanding of Pontiac’s history, know all about what’s going on today and be excited about the city’s future. Tour Guides: Irma Hayes - Irma is a long-time resident who knows everything and everyone in Pontiac and is responsible for making some of Pontiac's greatest projects and events come to fruition over the last 30+ years. Rick David - Rick is a longtime Pontiac resident and history buff who even after retiring after decades in the nonprofit world still has a passion for having a positive impact on his community and spreading the word about Pontiac's history and assets. Weather Policy: Tours will occur indefinitely, rain or shine, unless a severe weather warning is issued by the national weather service on the date of the tour for the time of the tour. Weather related cancellation or ticket transfer requests will not be approved unless submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the event start time. If a severe weather warning or event causes the tour to be cancelled, City Institute will offer to transfer participant tickets to another date or provide a refund.
