The Business of Food Summit is a celebration of the vibrant food culture in greater Detroit and a tribute to the city’s diverse food scene.

Hosted in the heart of Eastern Market, the event will bring together food enthusiasts, chefs, and innovative industry influencers to explore and showcase the best of the city’s food culture.

One full day of conversation, learning, and networking around the ins and outs of Detroit’s food culture.

The Business of Food Summit will include a variety of interactive sessions, panel discussions, and one-on-ones from experts, start-ups, and innovators alike.

Let’s question and build on the opportunities for sustainable stewardship, food advocacy, and neighborhood equity through food and the community around it.

Hear from chefs, vendors, investors and small business owners about food waste models, urban farming methodologies, new ways of employing equity towards food, business building, trending tastes and the importance of a team, post covid complexities, and more.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about trends, personal stories, and challenges from those who are passionate and knowledgeable about food.

This is a forum for attendees to ask questions and hold discussion about the impact of food on their community and city. Register here for the Summit. From 6 p.m.-10 p.m., Summit attendees will have the option to purchase a food truck sampler either at the door or through the summit’s mobile app. This is an opportunity for attendees to nourish their taste buds with the best local food trucks. Live music and a cash bar will also be available for entertainment.
