Enter, The Satin Doll Revue and become lost in the world of legends brought to life again. For 21 years Unlimited Sky Productions has been preserving history through the “Out of the Mouth of Jazz” Music Series featuring a group of talented and beautiful Ambassadors that encapsulate the look and style of the artists that inspire and motivate them throughout their careers. This Black History Month performance at Bert's Warehouse Theater on February 25th will feature Thornetta Davis (Bessie Smith), Sky Covington (Billie Holiday), Tosha Owens (Etta James), Faye Bradford (Nina Simone), Kimmie Horne (Sarah Vaughn), Nina Simone Neal (Dinah Washington) Veronique Musique (Nancy Wilson), Denise Edwards (Lene Horne), ​Ramona Collins (Dakota Staton)​ and Lady Love (Carmen Mcrae). These Award-Winning songstresses are the heartbeat of the Detroit music scene, not only do they create and perform their own music throughout the state and nation, but they also continually promote the Preservation of Jazz. Fostering the history of music helps build stronger future musicians. Studying and performing the greats is the best school an artist can attend. So come, have a libation, and take in some musical magic. This year's theme is "Recognizing Black History Month". Opening acts, 5 p.m. The Anita O' Day Tribute ft. Olivia Van Goor , and the all male revue, 6 p.m. Take 5 ( ft. Nat King Cole performed by Smoke Jones, Miles Davis performed by Allen Dennard, Billy Ekstine performed by Darren A. Jackson, Charlie Parker performed by Charles the Prophet and Al Jarreu performed by Mike Brock. The 1st Annual Black Bottom Jazz showcase is bringing The Satin Doll Revue back for an encore performance at the cleverly industrial Bert's Warehouse Theater on February 25th at 8 p.m. Tickets are $45​ for general admission,​ $60 for premier seating and $100 VIP tickets.
