Overview
The 5th Annual Juneteenth Celebration began the year Juneteenth was recognized as a national holiday by President Biden. It fits into the community's scheme, with SHAR standing as a cornerstone. This event provides the community with mental health, reentry, and substance abuse resources, along with fun, food, and fellowship for all ages. It is held block-club style for individuals to have the freedom but access to information otherwise unattainable, while at the same time providing a comfortable and safe setting.
