We just need to think outside the box a little. Here’s some inspiration for things to do this weekend to still get your Detroit fix.
1. Brush up on Detroit history trivia
Detroit History Tours is doing a bedtime story every night to teach Detroit lovers everything they would ever want to know about the city. You’ll become a Detroit expert in no time.
2. Bike around Belle Isle
It’s important to stay active during this time, so you may as well stay active on Detroit’s island gem, Belle Isle. However, remember to be cautious and keep at least six feet away from others.
3. Support Detroit’s Eastern Market
Eastern Market is offering pre-packaged produce boxes and other classic Eastern Market offerings instead of hosting its usual Saturday markets for the time being. Place an order on their website, and when you go to pick it up, workers will place the box in your trunk for you. After you’ve picked up your order, take a drive around the market and admire the murals you’ll find on every street.
4. Order carry out from your favorite Detroit restaurant
Support local businesses by ordering carry out from your favorite Detroit restaurant this weekend. Wondering who is still open for carry out and delivery services? We’ve curated a list for you.
