Modified: August 05, 2020 | Story by Katie Susko

In light of COVID-19, Delta Air Lines has created new ways to ensure the safety of all their passengers. Delta’s new CareStandard™ focuses on giving all passengers a cleaner, safer and larger space, along with personal care at every point in their travels. Some highlights of their CareStandard™ include:

  • Reduced touch points between staff and passengers during the flight
  • Increased sanitation at check in
  • Temperature check of all customer-facing employees
  • All employees wearing face masks
  • Electrostatic spraying of disinfectant at the gate, jet bridges and inside the plane
  • Back to front boarding
  • Extra sanitizing of bathrooms, overhead bins and arm rests
  • Required face masks for passengers during the flight, except for during meal time
  • Keeping the middle seat empty during all flights
