Your event will not automatically be added to the calendar. It will first undergo an approval process to ensure it meets calendar policy. Visit Detroit reserves the right to approve or deny any submitted events and make minor edits to event information as needed.
- Events must be held in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb Counties; events posted outside the region will not be approved.
- Events must provide a visitors hospitality experience; culture, cuisine, sports, concerts, theatre, museum/art exhibitions, festivals, and entertainment
- Events must be open to the public – free or ticketed
- Non-eligible events include Meetings, product demonstrations, fundraisers and donation appeals, political events and rallies, awards banquets, job fairs, networking or business events, and sales events whose primary purpose is to sell or promote products or services that will not be approved.
- Please submit the event at least two weeks before the event date.
- A high-quality horizontal photo is requested for each event. Recommended photos are the ones that help attract visitors.
- Events will generally be approved within 5-7 business days.
