The annual event will pivot to an online ordering format to ensure Flower Day goers adhere to Michigan’s stay-at-home order and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s social-distancing guidelines. The online flower-ordering platform is expected to launch on Sunday, May 24 and it will allow customers to pre-order flowers from participating growers. Orders will be arranged for pick-up from the market a few days later. For more details and updates, please visit Eastern Market Flower Day 2020
Eastern Market Flower Day is a time honored tradition since 1967.
Flower Day takes place every year on the Sunday after Mother’s Day. Growers offer a wide variety of flowers at a great value so come early for the best selection!
This special day is made possible through Eastern Market’s partnership with the Metropolitan Detroit Flower Growers Association. MDFGA members arrive every year from Michigan, Ontario and neighboring states. They share 15 acres of the heartiest varieties of flowers for this region and they’re ready to share the best strategies of how to help their flora thrive.
Eastern Market also offers free and convenient parcel pickups so you can explore the market throughout the day without being attached to your flats of flowers. View the map here.
