Overview
The Fort Street Chorale will present its popular Black History Celebration on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. This year’s concert brings together five choirs and noted solo performers at the beautiful, historic Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church, 8625 E. Jefferson in Detroit.
In addition to Fort Street Chorale, our 2025 multi-choral presentation will include the Brazeal Dennard Chorale, Wayne State University Concert Chorale, Detroit Academy of the Arts Chorus, and the Jefferson Avenue Chancel Choir. Our featured artists are renowned international tenor George Shirley, soprano Frances Brockington, organist Stephen Warner, and Norah Duncan IV, guest conductor.
General admission tickets are $30 and may be purchased at WWW.FortStreetChorale.Org.
Student and group-rate admission, as well as patron seating are also available.
Of special note: Fort Street Chorale will once again be performing new work by Norah Duncan IV on Fort Street Chorale's section of the program which includes:
