The Henry Ford is honored to present Francis Ford at The Henry Ford, an exclusive cinematic series featuring innovator and icon Francis Ford Coppola, one of the most critically acclaimed and influential filmmakers of our time.
Francis Ford at The Henry Ford offers audiences a rare opportunity to engage with the five-time Academy Award winner and his distinctive filmography in his birthplace of Detroit.
The series begins in April with after-hours screenings of Coppola's legendary films such as The Godfather, Apocalypse Now (Final Cut) and The Cotton Club (Encore), culminating with Coppola making two public in-person appearances for an exclusive special screening of Francis Ford Coppola's Megalopolis in Giant Screen Experience and an intimate conversation Behind the Lens: An Evening with Francis Ford Coppola in Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.
A true celebration of his continued legacy, Francis Ford at The Henry Ford immediately follows Coppola's recognition from the American Film Institute as the 50th recipient of the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest national honor for a career in film.
Through this one-of-a-kind collaboration, Francis Ford at The Henry Ford invites attendees to experience the artistry, vision and enduring influence that have defined Coppola's extraordinary career. From landmark films to intimate conversations, this is where the past, present and future of the silver screen converge.
