Overview
This free morning event will feature historically significant Step into the past with a History Stroll through the Grosse Pointes! Enjoy guided tours and light refreshments at three iconic locations—American House, The War Memorial, and the Ford House.
Time will be provided between each stop for travel to the next location. Please note, transportation is not provided.
History Stroll Timeline:
9:30am – 10:15am: Tour #1, American House Grosse Pointe
Start your history stroll with Say Grace Coffee and Espresso bar in the circular drive at American House.
10:30am – 11:15am: 2nd Tour, The War Memorial
Continue your journey with a stop at the historic Alger House, featuring a brief tour of the Reception Room and the newly refurbished Library. Light refreshments will be served.
11:30am – 12:30pm: 3rd Tour, Ford HouseAt the final stop on the tour, join Rebecca Torsell, Director of Historic Preservation at the Ford House for a brief tour of the Entertainment Wing of the Main House, followed by the outdoor pool area.
