The Best Deals and Happy Hours in Detroit

Detroit is filled with restaurants that are open throughout the week both early and night, and if you’re looking to get out of work early, leave that meeting early, or take a half day, you’ll be rewarded with deals on food and drinks.

Here are some of the best happy hours in Detroit.

Parc Detroit

For happy hour at Parc, you can get six different cocktails for $9, including an old fashioned, espresso martini or a cucumber mule.

On top of that, they have different food options for $12, including sliders, salads, fries and others. Certain glasses of wine are $8 for a 6-ounce or $11 for a 9-ounce, or you can do sparkling rinks.

Happy hour is every Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Shelby

One of the coolest bars in Detroit, The Shelby is in an old bank vault, and while they have a short happy hour, they have a good one.

The Shelby has four different cocktails for $8 – an old fashioned, a daiquiri, an amaretto sour or an espresso martini.

There are also two different food options for $10 – the “escar-no” and beef tartare.

Happy hour at The Shelby is from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Central Kitchen + Bar

While Central Kitchen + Bar doesn’t have an official happy hour, they do have what they call a “social hour” which has different drinks available for discounts.

You can get drafts of craft beer for $4, mules for $6, or Bulleit old fashions or Manhattans for $8.

Central also has different wines available by the glass for a discount.

The social hour runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Anchor Bar

Anchor Bar has a huge happy hour menu with big discounts. Their food options include garbage can nachos for $8, chili and cheese whiz totchos (tater tot nachos) for $8, sliders for $3 each or a Caesar salad for $8.

For drink specials, you can get certain shots for $3, $5 well drinks, $8 pitchers of Miller High Life or Pabst Blue Ribbon or $12 pitchers of other beers.

Anchor Bar’s Happy Hour runs Monday-Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Besa

Just south of Campus Martius on Woodward Ave., Besa is serving up a great happy hour with deep discounts.

The happy hour is at Besa’s bar and has appetizers and salads for 30% off, with $6 glasses of wine, $7 cocktails and $4 beers on tap.

It runs from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Monday-Friday.

Mudgie’s Deli & Wine Bar

The popular wine shop and deli in Corktown just started offering a happy hour at the end of 2022. They will have discounts on wine glasses and wine bottles, with the wine shop staying open until 7 p.m.

The Mudgie’s happy hour runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays-Saturdays.

The Block Neighborhood Bar & Kitchen

The Block is located along Woodward in Midtown and it offers a 3-6-9 happy hour.

You can get $3 Bud Lights or $3 house wins, $6 mystery drinks or $6 Tito’s or Bulleit Bourbon, and $9 wings, bacon brussels, spinach dip and pepperoni flatbread.

It’s dine-in only from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Cornerstone Barrel House

The bar along Woodward Ave. in Downtown Detroit is known for its whiskey selection and good food. They have beer and liquor specials, $3 minis, $3 sides and more for happy hour, which runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Firebird Tavern

The bar in the heart of Greektown has a great happy hour with half-off beers and wine, and small plates for $5.

The food menu includes Irish nachos, cauliflower dip, chicken salad cups, caprese salad and more.

It runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Detroit Shipping Company

The huge bar and food hall in Midtown offers drink specials for happy hour. It includes $4 wine, $3 well liquor, $4 Smirnoff, $4 Fireball, $5 bartender choice cocktails and $4 mystery beers.

It’s from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Tuesday through Thursday.
