Here in Detroit, our top priority is staying safe, healthy and indoors. For many Detroiters, this means using video conferencing programs like Zoom to virtually meet with coworkers, friends and family. Next time you log on, pop one of these iconic Detroit photos into your Zoom background and let the party begin. Hold staff meetings from the palm of the Spirit of Detroit, or at the world famous Motown Museum. You can even have a virtual happy hour in The Belt!

Here’s how to change your background on Zoom:

Find your favorite Detroit virtual video or photo backgrounds below. Right click and select “Save Image As…” to save them to your computer or device. This will work on your computer and Zoom mobile app.
Once you’re logged into Zoom, open your account settings or click the up arrow next to “Start Video” in the lower left corner.
Select “Choose a Virtual Background” then press the plus sign to upload the photo or video of your choice.
