Visit Detroit Launches Dining in the D Pass – Your Digital Passport to the City’s Culinary Scene

DETROIT — March 21, 2024 — Visit Detroit is thrilled to announce the launch of the Dining in the D pass, a digital passport unlocking exclusive discounts and rewards at over 28 diverse restaurants across metro Detroit.
From trendy bars to family-friendly spots and upscale dining establishments, this mobile pass is a tasty way to tour the city’s dynamic culinary offerings.

Using the pass is simple – no app download necessary. Users sign up via mobile browser and bookmark the pass page for easy access on their phones. When dining at participating merchants, they just show the digital pass on their phone to receive exclusive offers like percentage discounts, buy-one-get-one deals, and more.

“As Detroit’s food scene continues to grow, we are excited to introduce the Dining in the D pass, making it easy and affordable to explore all the flavors that the city has to offer,” says Claude Molinari, President and CEO of Visit Detroit.

In addition to scoring great discounts, Dining in the D pass holders earn points by checking in at restaurants. These points can be redeemed for chances to win prize packages from Visit Detroit, including a retail therapy bundle, a gourmet getaway package, sports fan packages, and Visit Detroit swag.

The pass is valid for one year from the activation date, giving users the chance to try a variety of dining options in the D. With a continuously updated list of participating merchants and offers, users will never grow tired of the many eateries and restaurants there are to try.

"We're thrilled to join the pass highlighting Detroit's dining scene. Our passion has always been bringing flavor and love to the city of Detroit.” Says Kara Horstmann, Marketing Manager at Little Caesars Arena. “Hockeytown and UWM District Market both offer a culinary journey that showcases the diversity of the city's flavors. By partnering with the Dining in the D program, we're eager to welcome visitors and locals to taste the flavors of our city and discover the stories behind each dish."

The Dining in the D pass joins Visit Detroit’s other popular programs like the Detroit Pizza Pass, Brew Trail, and Explore Detroit Pass, all offering exclusive discounts on food, experiences, and attractions to both locals and visitors.
