As visitors from around the city, state and world flock to Detroit for the 2022 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Michigan Central is launching The Neighborhood Pass to encourage people to explore the neighborhoods that surround Michigan Central, near the event, and take part in celebrating their unique heritage and cultures that make them each so special.
The Neighborhood Pass, presented by Michigan Central, invites the public to explore the areas surrounding the iconic station, including Corktown, North Corktown, Hubbard Richard, Mexicantown and Southwest Detroit. The program promotes local organizations and businesses by providing detailed information about retail experiences, restaurants, and cultural activities in each neighborhood.

People are encouraged to post pictures of their experiences as they explore what makes each neighborhood so special, using #MCxTheNeighborhoodPass and tagging the businesses they patronize.
There also is an opportunity for visitors, business owners, and community members to enter a sweepstake for a chance to win a tour of the restored Michigan Central Station, or to take home a piece of Detroit history—an original piece of marble saved during The Station’s restoration.
