New Visit Detroit Magazine Highlights Biking Scene & Summer To-Dos

Modified: March 20, 2019

The Spring & Summer 2019 issue of Visit Detroit magazine has arrived! The April through September issue is full of warm weather metro Detroit events, three new augmented reality videos, as well as two feature stories.

Metro Detroit isn’t a destination you can single out in any particular way. We’re a sports town, a shopper’s dream, a boater’s paradise, an outdoor lover’s playground, and a foodie’s fantasy. In this issue, we’ve mapped out all of the area’s must-do hot stops for sunny days and mild nights in every area of metro Detroit.

And if you’ve been downtown recently, you’ll probably be seeing a lot of bikes in the Motor City. Detroit is creating a solid infrastructure for scenic and safe transportation by bike, scooter and even skateboard. Read all about local biking events, developments and biking culture in Detroit.

This issue’s augmented reality features an interview with the founders of Detroit Hives, a ride along with Slow Roll, and a 360 view of kayaking in metro Detroit. All video content in this issue can be seen by downloading the Zappar app.

This issue is also filled with summer festivals, upcoming concerts, itineraries and activities to do all over metro Detroit.
