More than 1,000 veterans and active military will gather in downtown Milford for the community’s annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29. Join us as we gather as a community to honor those who have lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces, and thank those who have served and who are still serving in the military.
The solemn, yet celebratory procession will begin at 11 a.m. at the American Legion Post 216. The parade route will travel east on Commerce Road and south on Main Street. Rain or shine – we march! The parade will end in Milford’s Central Park with a brief ceremony and remembrance event. Starting at 9:30 a.m., military vehicles will be on display on Main Street. Flyovers are planned as well, weather permitting.
Donations to support the parade can be sent to American Legion Post 216 at 510 W. Commerce Rd. Milford, MI or you can contact Parade Chairman Joe Salvia at 313-701-8000.
