Overview
America's Thanksgiving Parade® in Detroit is a cherished tradition that fills the city with festive cheer. Colorful balloons, lively marching bands, and dazzling floats grace Woodward Avenue, captivating spectators of all ages. As one of the country's oldest and most celebrated parades, it symbolizes the spirit of gratitude and togetherness, making it a beloved annual spectacle for Detroiters and visitors alike.
The Parade route is three miles of smiles along Woodward Avenue from Kirby to Congress!! The Parade steps-off at Kirby and Woodward at 8:45 a.m. It’s roughly an hour and a half march south, down to the Celebration Zone. The Parade officially ends at Congress and Woodward.
