Metro Detroit's free diversity festival of music
Concert of Colors is a five-day music festival typically taking place in July at multiple venues in and around Midtown Detroit.
This free diversity-themed world music festival draws in about 80,000 people each year and features sounds indigenous of the Motor City, but not limited to it. The festival also offers ethnic food, merchandise vendors and cultural forums on the role of arts and culture in overcoming racial and ethnic barriers.
Participating Detroit venues providing indoor and outdoor stage areas include the Scarab Club, Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center and the Detroit Institute of Arts. All attractions worth visiting in their own right.
