Overview
Evening tours of the Ford Piquette Plant Museum are offered a few times throughout the year. Save the date for “Ts @ Twilight” on Saturday, February 28 at 5:30 p.m. to enjoy Motor City history and cultural enrichment at the birthplace of the Model T.
This experience requires a reservation and includes complimentary drinks, including adult beverages, and light bites. Docent-led tours lasting approximately 90 minutes encompass 20,000-square-feet of exhibits and more than 65 rare antique vehicles. Tickets are $30 per person or $10 for museum members.
One of the oldest surviving automobile factories in the world, the Piquette Plant is a U.S. National Historic Landmark and Michigan Historic Site. Expert tour guides illuminate how the Model T sparked a revolution in manufacturing and transportation, as well as influenced social and cultural trends around the world. The museum is a top tourist destination, rated #1 of 260 “Things to Do in Detroit,” in a public poll on Tripadvisor.
The museum is open year-round to the public, Wednesdays through Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular admission tickets are $10 to $20. Optional guided tours take place daily at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Visitors can also get a selfie in a Model T and visit the museum store.
