WAZZUP Detroit Tour - Exclusively through Distinctively Detroit Tours
Wazzup, Detroit! If you grew up laughing with Martin, this tour is your love letter to the city, the culture, and the comedy that made it legendary. Martin and his crew are ready to show you their Detroit—no cheap seats, no boring lectures, and definitely no hush-your-mouth moments.
We kick things off where Martin made noise for a living, stepping into the world of broadcasting at the William V. Banks Broadcast Museum. This is where Detroit changed television history forever in 1975 when WGPR-TV62 became the first Black-owned television station in the United States. Expect powerful stories, iconic artifacts, and moments that prove Detroit has always been ahead of the curve—just like Martin’s mouth.
Next, we roll past Martin’s former apartment at the Garden Court Apartments before heading to our very own “Nipsey’s.” Kick back, grab an included drink and a snack, and reminisce about episodes, one-liners, and characters that still live rent-free in your head.
From there, we drive along Detroit’s riverfront—because even Martin needed a cool-down moment—before stepping behind the scenes at Little Caesars Arena. Just like Martin and the crew, we’re doing it right with a behind-the-scenes look that feels more luxury suite than nosebleed section.
And because no Martin-inspired experience would be complete without a little chaos, we wrap things up with duckpin bowling. This is where Martin’s bowling skills famously fell apart, and where yours might too. Gutter balls, trash talk, and laughs are all part of the fun.
This isn’t just a tour. It’s a throwback, a celebration, and a rolling comedy special through Detroit—served with heart, history, and a whole lot of attitude.
If you know, you know.
And if you don’t?
Wazzup… now you will.
