Indulge in a Tantalizing Menu

The debut of the restaurant’s refreshed menu, a seasonally inspired culinary experience from Chef Reece Hogerheide, boasts a sophisticated smorgasbord of dynamic flavors to taste for even the most particular, posh palate. With a feast of flavors to savor, bring your best appetite.
The Apparatus Room offers New American cuisine with a subtle French influence, blending tradition with innovation using local, seasonal ingredients. Inspired by creative, unpretentious hospitality—timeless, approachable, collaborative, and chef-inspired.
Did Somebody Say Oysters?
The brand new Raw Bar & Tasting Menu elevates the dining experience altogether. From West Coast to East Coast, Daily Crudo and Red Swimming Crab. As the weather warms up, it's time to try the Chilled Lobster with passionfruit, burnt citrus, and pepper mash.
Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner menus feature signature dishes including Shakshuka, Sausage Strudel, Ham Sweet Farms Lamb Flank, and Michigan Heritage Pork.
Dignified, Inclusive Drink Menu
A great list of beverages includes signature cocktails, craft beers, and a thoughtfully curated wine list, plus a few fine, craft cocktails that are zero-proof options for those who prefer to sip something special sans alcohol (like myself). This element of care is incredibly appreciated. Every cocktail pictured here is fabulously crafted and 100% non-alcoholic. Cheers!
When In Doubt, Try Everything
Maybe not the best advice for every meal, but when you are dining at The Apparatus Room, why not give it a whirl. We did, and we loved every bite of it.
Starting with a few starters and a salad for good (and green) measure, we whet our palates with the Crispy Cauliflower, Fried Maitake, and Arugula & Strawberry salad. While the pickled strawberries and aged gouda were divine, the star of the salad was the delectable cucumber. Best I ever had. So good, I went digging through the trenches of arugula to find every last one and asked how they made them so delicious. If you like cucumbers, you will love this salad.

When it came time to try the pasta, we went with a trifecta of taste bud paradise: Potato Gnocchi, Orecchiette, and Lobster Radiatore. Of these three, the Potato Gnocchi was my favorite, followed closely by the Lobster Radiatore. We’ll be back to try the Pea Risotto.
The Mains came, and I was wishing I’d worn stretchy pants. Alas, we took one for the team. My choice was the Eagle Creek Trout, and it did not disappoint. The Flank Steak looked truly divine, too. We shared a side of Broccolini to balance it all out. A little green goes a long way, especially when it is prepared with bagna càuda, yuzu, and hazelnut.
