DETROIT – Visit Detroit and local personal injury attorney Joumana Kayrouz are teaming up to fix travelers’ regrettable decisions about their past fall vacation destinations. Those who have suffered a “Bad Trip in Fall” are invited to tell us about your terrible story. The winner of the Bad Trip in Fall?
contest will walk away with an exclusive, all expense-paid vacation to Detroit this fall.

And in the fall, Detroit has it all. The colors. The weather. America’s Thanksgiving Parade. Orchards, cider mills, markets and fall festivals. The Detroit Lions, Red Wings, Pistons and Tigers.

The Bad Trip in Fall campaign can be seen on digital billboards throughout the Detroit region, in addition to Battle Creek, Cadillac, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Traverse City and Chicago. A commercial featuring Kayrouz will air on Visit Detroit’s social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and at VisitDetroit.com/TripinFall.

“We’re excited to partner with Joumana Kayrouz for this really fun campaign to remind travelers that Detroit is a sure bet for a flawless fall getaway,” said Claude Molinari, President and CEO of Visit Detroit. “We look forward to welcoming the winner of our Bad Trip In Fall contest to the Detroit region, along with many other travelers this fall. Thanks to Joumana for having some fun with us, and for her passionate commitment to our community.

“To be chosen as the face of Detroit is a privilege,” said Kayrouz. “This fall, I invite travelers to feel the energy, creativity, and unstoppable spirit that make Detroit extraordinary. Welcome to the Detroit I love.”

Visit Detroit is the official concierge to the Detroit region, spanning Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, marketing the region to business and leisure visitors in order to maximize economic impact. With one of the world’s busiest air transportation hubs, Detroit Metro Airport offers nonstop flights to 125+ destinations, including Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Nashville and many more.

Travel + Leisure named Detroit a top travel destination in 2025, and the first-ever prestigious Michelin Green Guide for Detroit was awarded in 2024. Michelin named Cranbrook Educational Community, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Downtown Detroit, the Guardian Building and The Henry Ford Museum as three-star rated sites, a rating equal to the most famous attractions in the world such as the Louvre in Paris.

Detroit is just 17 months removed from hosting the record-setting 2024 NFL Draft that attracted more than 775,000 people to downtown Detroit, with another 50 million watching on TV. The NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four will return to Detroit in 2027 at Ford Field.

The Law Offices of Joumana Kayrouz specializes exclusively in Personal Injury.

Born in Lebanon and knowing only a little English, Kayrouz journeyed from the American University of Beirut (AUB) to the prestigious Ivy league school, Yale University, where on a scholarship, she earned a masters in Ethics in 1992.
