VISIT DETROIT’S MOE MOUA HONORED WITH INDUSTRY AWARD
DETROIT – Visit Detroit is proud to announce that Moe Moua, Senior Destination Services Manager, was honored as the Event Service Professional of the Year at the 2026 ESPA Conference in Arlington, Texas, earlier this week.
The Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA) has provided support to event and convention professionals throughout North America for more than 30 years. Its members encompass convention services managers, event services managers, and professionals affiliated with hotels, convention centers, CVBs/DMOs, and various event venues.
In 2025, Moua received nominations from three different meeting planners, underscoring her influential work and talent for building strong relationships for Visit Detroit. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence improves each event she oversees and strengthens Visit Detroit’s standing in the meetings and conventions industry. Moua was unaware she had been selected until the award was presented to her at the conference.
“I’m always very proud to see someone on my team receive recognition for their outstanding work,” said Harriet Carter, Senior Vice President of Services, Partnerships & Events at Visit Detroit. “Moe’s exemplary behavior and strong commitment to providing exceptional service consistently reflect Visit Detroit’s high standards. We are thrilled that she has been widely acknowledged as a leader in her field.”
