It’s time! Share the love with your favorite people and buy some great gifts around town for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
Visit Detroit took the time to compile a special list of places where you can be the best “Santa” that you can be with gifts for your loved ones that are unique and priced just right.
Start your shopping trip with a visit to one of the metro area’s local malls. Whether you need a gift from a major store or an independent retailer–the mall is still a great place to start and the decorations will put you in a festive holiday mood.
The Mall at Partridge Creek in Clinton Township is perfect for energetic holiday shopping. The outdoor mall in Macomb County is home to nearly 80 different stores and restaurants, as well as a movie theater where you can take a break and catch a flick.
With 375,000 square feet of space, the outdoor shopping district is set up like a main street in a city. Surrounding the Twelve Oaks area is also Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk which features destinations on the Detroit Brew Trail. This mall is also known for its amazing jewelry stores making it a popular destination for holiday shopping.
One of the G.O.A.T. shopping destinations—Somerset Collection features two separate areas – one on the north side of Big Beaver and one on the south side, connected by a walkway over the road. The mall offers some high-end clothing and accessory brands like Gucci, Burberry, Versace, Tiffany & Co., and much more on the south side of the building. The north side has lots of local brands for a gift with a Detroit flavor.
Great Lakes has some nationally-known entertainment brands, including a Legoland Discovery Center, Peppa Pig World of Play, Sea Life Michigan Aquarium, Top Golf and Round 1 Bowling & Amusement. With dozens of stores and outlet stores, the mall has a ton of great shops, food, and most importantly, fun.
