An original one-of-kind contemporary art + dynamic lighting gallery featuring award winning nationally acclaimed mother + son Detroit artists located in the newly renovated National Register of Historic Places, the Moross House, offers contemporary art at all price levels. Contemporary art that energizes, enriches and connects inducing feelings of awe where the sublime is explored in order to unlock dreams will be found here. The artists have a long history of shows and gallery representation nationally and internationally. Their artwork for sale can now be physically seen at Schinkel Fine Art Gallery in Detroit. Collectors and everyday shoppers find the artwork with a deep enduring sense of time and place. The artists' have been create their artwork in Detroit upstairs at their Moross House studio since 2016. This artwork is inspired and influenced by the Detroit history contained within the walls of this historic property, the oldest brick dwelling in Detroit, circa 1840. The home was built by Christopher Moross, a descendant of the very earliest French founding families of Detroit. A brick walled private garden featuring the oldest wisteria in the Midwest with a charming cedar over fifty year old potting shed also awaits shoppers to enjoy while shopping.
Winter open hours for shopping from 1:00 - 7:00PM every Saturday and by appointment. Free street parking on E. Jefferson and in back on Woodbridge. Diversified Members Credit Union parking lot available on Saturday after 1:00pm, all day on Sunday, after 4:30 Monday - Thursday and after 6:00 on Friday.
