Dynamic controlled lighting mixes with the original art on aluminum and hand made silver mirror artwork. Lighting is used as a material in this artwork and must be seen how it mixes and becomes a part of the artwork. This art experience is a Detroit centric experience located in the newly renovated National Register of Historic Places property, the oldest brick dwelling in the city of Detroit, the Moross House.
Built by Christopher Moross, circa 1840 a visit to the attractions and ongoing special event at the Schinkel Fine Art Gallery at the Moross House will not disappoint. The historic property converted into a contemporary art gallery experience with an attractive brick walled private backyard garden containing the oldest wisteria in the Midwest merges urban history with nature filled beauty. The contemporary art experience at the Schinkel Fine Art gallery in the legendary Moross House with its' charming private backyard oasis is a must see for lovers of art, history, gardens and experiences. A highly attractive special event is in store for all visitors to Detroit and the Detroit community at large.
The property is also available for rental for guests from 15-250 (outdoor use required for larger numbers) for board meetings, company gatherings, parties, weddings, private dinners in designer kitchen and fundraisers. Winter open hours Saturday from 1:00 - 7:00pm with free street parking available on E. Jefferson and in back of the property on Woodbridge. Free parking lot at adjacent Diversified Members Credit Union all day Saturday after 1:00, all day Sunday, after 4:30pm on Monday - Thursday and after 6:00pm on Friday.
