Overview
Chamber Music at the Scarab Club is thrilled to present the next concert of its 27th season on Sunday, May 3rd, from 3-5 p.m. in the main gallery of The Scarab Club (217 Farnsworth, Detroit 48202).
This concert features wind and string players who are members of the Detroit Opera Orchestra, performing an exciting program that includes works with a connection to the amazing world of opera!
The performers include flutist Andrea Velasquez, oboist Eli Stefanacci, bassoonist Daniel Fendrick and Colin Bianchi on French Horn, all of whom hold principal positions in the Detroit Opera Orchestra. They will present a mix of classic woodwind quintet repertoire and opera favorites!
Recently appointed Principal Harpist Juan Riveros will also perform, along with violinist Velda Kelly, violist Scott Stefanko and double bassist Jean Posekany. The program includes chamber music by Rossini, Vanhal and Koussevitsky.
You won’t want to miss this exceptional lineup of local musicians performing in the incredible acoustics of Detroit's historic Scarab Club. You may have heard them play in the pit or on the stage but at the Scarab Club you’ll sit up close to the musicians and will be surrounded by beautiful works of art! It’s a very special experience.
