Dearborn Vintage Stores Join Over 1,100 Shops Nationwide for

VINTAGE STORE DAY

Saturday, May 16, 2026

Dearborn, MI May 3, 2026— On Saturday, May 16, Dearborn’s three independent vintage stores will participate in Vintage Store Day, a national celebration of brick-and-mortar vintage retail. Shoppers are invited to spend the day hopping between their favorite local shops — and discovering ones they've never been to before.

Little Mama’s will be featuring three additional vintage vendors, two vintage rework designers, a new refillery to Dearborn, a local matcha brewer and DJ. The first 10 people through the door will receive a Vintage Store Day bag with goodies. Overtime and Retro Image will be offering specials in their shops also.

Vintage Store Day was founded last year in Chicago. In its inaugural year (2025), over 900brick-and-mortar vintage stores across 46 states nationwide participated, with 60% reporting increased foot traffic or sales. This year, more than 1,100 stores have already signed up.

Vintage shops specialize in curated, pre-owned items generally 20 or more years old — with each piece hand-selected by small business owners who are equal parts treasure hunters and curators. These brick-and-mortar stores are community anchors of local neighborhoods, keeping dollars spent local and offering customers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience no big-box store can replicate.

“Vintage Store Day means giving of ourselves to the vintage loving community. Seeing old friends and customers while introducing our shops to new customers. Vintage is more than just old things” said Jay Kruz of Retro Image.
