The Whitney is pleased to announce the return of its popular Garden Parties for the summer season, along with the debut of a new Sunday afternoon event series featuring themed dining experiences and live music.

A long-standing warm-weather tradition in Detroit, the Whitney Garden Parties invite guests to enjoy an evening of live entertainment in a historic outdoor setting. This year’s series promises an expanded lineup and a fresh addition of Sunday programming designed to enhance the summer experience.

Jill Jack’s decades-long career has taken her across the globe, performing solo and with her band, opening for acts like Bob Seger and Loretta Lynn. Her Americana music blends folk, rock, country, and blues, and she’s known for storytelling, humor, and heartfelt and high energy performances. With 12 CDs and 51 Detroit Music Awards, she’s also composed for documentaries and ad campaigns. Jack gives back through missionary work, nonprofits, and mentoring artists of all ages.
