Step inside one of Detroit’s most storied buildings for a behind-the-scenes tour of The Whiskey Factory—once home to Goebel Brewing Co. and later the Stroh’s Ice Cream operation during Prohibition. Today, this revitalized space is a working distillery that honors its past while crafting modern bourbon and rye. Guests will explore the distilling process up close, sample whiskey straight from the barrel, and enjoy tastings of small-batch vodka, gin, brandy, and whiskey. Along the way, you’ll trace Detroit’s transformation from a beer powerhouse to a hub of creative spirit-making, uncovering the rich history behind the brands and the building that helped shape it.
*This tour will include a tasting. Ages 21+ with ID required.
The Whiskey Factory | 1000 Maple St, Detroit 48207
