Flower Day at Eastern Market
Flower Day has been a favorite special event at Eastern Market since 1967. It’s always held the Sunday after Mother’s Day, which falls on May 15th this year. It’s open 7 am-5 pm but get there early for the best selection. Head to Eastern Market’s website for details on their upcoming Tuesday Flower Markets and their summer hours.
Detroit Abloom
Detroit Abloom is a beautiful cut flower farm and community wellness hub. Developed as a strategy to reclaim and repurpose blighted land in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood, Detroit Abloom has grown into a place to reconnect with nature, each other, and yourself. Stop by to see what’s blooming in the garden as spring opens upon us. Gardens are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Or, check the schedule to find a community yoga class or free guided meditation.
Lafayette Greens
Urban gardens featuring flowers, herbs, and veggies are arranged in beautiful metal raised beds with stone paths. Enjoy lunch at a cafe-style table and appreciate the metal sculptures.
Beacon Park

Events are always happening around Campus Martius Park, ranging from concerts to wine festivals to movie nights and fitness classes.
