How to Slay
What’s a girl’s trip without shopping? Here’s a short list of some of the metro areas’ best shopping.
Check out Nora Detroit on Cass Avenue. Both shops have a wide selection of housewares and unique gifts. The flagship Shinola store is also in the midtown neighborhood.
Flo Boutique is one of our favorites for its eclectic and funky signature style. We also love City Bird and Nest Housewares for one-of-a-kind gifts and locally created items like candles, vintage items, and more.
In Corktown, check out Mama Coo’s Boutique for handmade pieces and small home furnishings.
The Avenue of Fashion is a destination for jazz, fashion, and beauty options in Northwest Detroit. Stop by SimplyCasual for unique pieces that can’t be found in a regular shopping mall.
Parker’s Alley is another must-see destination. The specially-curated space has a lot to offer and many of the stores in this area are women-owned which makes it even more fun.
