Below are seven of the best Indian restaurants in the Metro Detroit area, plus our recommended dish to try at each place.
Midnight Temple
Midnight Temple is a new and trendy Indian “gastropub” near shed 2 in Eastern Market. It was featured in TIME Magazine’s article that named Detroit one of the greatest cities to visit last year. The restaurant is open until late (2am) making it perfect for either a delicious dinner out or late night cocktails and Indian-style bar snacks.

Pizzawala’s
Pizzawala’s is a fusion Indian-pizza restaurant in Canton, that will change how you think about both Indian food and pizza forever.
They specialize in Indian-inspired twists on pizza – think pizza tikka masala, saag paneer pizza, and yes even Indian flavored Detroit style pizza. The menu also includes plenty of classic pizza flavors (like margherita, cheese, and Hawaiian) so there is something for everyone here.

Star of India

Charminar Biryani House

Pakwaan Fine Indian Cuisine
