Downtowns and Main Streets are central to many Macomb County communities, providing opportunities for locals and visitors to stretch their legs and explore unique shops and quaint boutiques, indulge in delicious meals and special treats, and discover some of the best-kept secrets in the metro Detroit area.
These downtowns listed below are compiled of small business owners who pour their hearts into the services and goods they are providing for the Macomb County community as a whole. Go on an exploratory field trip around town to discover and support local.
Mount Clemens
With small businesses at the heart of the Mount Clemens culture, the downtown area brings unique shops, restaurants, and an active nightlife to the community.
Start your morning off with a delicious breakfast at Mae’s, explore shops such as Max & Ollie’s Vintage Boutique and end the day with dinner at Gumbo’s Bar and Restaurant. Not ready to go home quite yet? No worries! Experience the Mount Clemens night energy at Three Blind Mice Irish Pub.

St. Clair Shores
A well-known historic waterfront destination, the Nautical Mile is located in St. Clair Shores on Jefferson Ave., between 9 and 10 1/2 Mile Roads. The Nautical Mile is home to several marinas and is said to boasts the largest concentration of boats in the Midwest!
But the fun doesn’t stop once the boating season ends, the dining and entertainment experiences provided by many of the local businesses continues all year long for families to enjoy.

Utica
Small but mighty, the City of Utica is 1.7 miles of compact fun! Downtown Utica is bursting at the seams with some metro Detroit staples and new trendy spots that are necessary to check out!
Head to Downtown Utica and grab a brunch from the latest addition, Host, before you head on over to Jimmy John's Field, the baseball stadium home to four teams that play in the United Shore Professional Baseball League. After cheering on the Utica Unicorns, you have many options to enjoy the nightlife of Utica with wine and charcuterie at Vino & Vibes or something from the tap at Steampunk!

Romeo
Described as a quiet small town, with storybook charm, the tree-lined streets and historic homes offer a unique main street experience.
Downtown Romeo is the heart of their community as many of their beloved events take place down Main Street. Peach Festival to ScreechFest to Winterfest – the opportunity to gather as a community is endless throughout the year.

Armada
Nestled in rural northern Macomb County, the Village of Armada allows visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of metro Detroit through a small community feel with lots to offer.
Armada is well known for the family-owned farms and orchards that surround the village, but located in the heart of the city along Main Street is a quaint downtown with local businesses and good eats to enjoy!
