Sing your Heart out these Metro Detroit Bars During Karaoke

Detroit is known for its music. There’s Motown, hip hop, R&B, jazz, and even country music, and that rings true when it comes to its residents.
Whether you’re good or can’t hold a tune in a bucket, many people enjoy karaoke, and there are great bars throughout the area that offer fun and unique versions of karaoke.
If you’re looking to sing your heart out, here’s where you can find karaoke in metro Detroit.
Sid Gold’s Request Room – 1515 Broadway St. In Detroit
Sid Gold’s is located inside The Siren Hotel in the heart of Downtown Detroit and offers some of the most unique karaoke you’ll see.
Described as “A rockin’ piano bar and the home of the Best Karaoke in Detroit,” Sid Gold’s offers live piano karaoke four nights a week.
It runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Wednesday through Saturday with Stefan Kukurugy and Jarrod Champion. Reservations are encouraged due to limited capacity, and you can make them at sidgolds.com.
Cadieux Café – 4300 Cadieux Rd. In Detroit
A historic Belgian bar in Detroit, Cadieux Café not only offers feather bowling but karaoke every Wednesday night.
The bar has a full food and drink menu, offering great Belgian-style beers, which might help you work up the courage to step up to the microphone.
You can sing karaoke every Wednesday starting at 8 p.m. at Cadieux Café.
Bert’s Marketplace – 2727 Russell St. In Detroit
You might not find a busier place on the weekend in Eastern Market than Bert’s Marketplace, located along Russell St. In the heart of the historic market.
Bert’s is known for its entertainment complex, which includes live jazz and other music, open mic nights, blues music, and more.
On top of that, they’re known for their karaoke, which can happen on Saturday mornings. Not a time you’re used to it but see if that morning voice sounds any better than the evening voice.

Sneaker’s Pub - 22628 Woodward Ave. In Ferndale
Sneaker’s Pub is often the place many people think of when they hear karaoke in metro Detroit.
The dive bar in Downtown Ferndale is self-described as “the only bar in town where you can get a corndog, watch the game, slurp up a Jello shot, and become a karaoke legend all in one night.”
The bar offers a variety of food and drinks, with cheap beer on draft and in bottles.
If you’re not up for singing, you’ll always find some great voices at Sneakers to sit back and enjoy the covers.
Wellington Pub – 44819 Hayes Rd. In Sterling Heights
Wellington Pub describes itself as “the best night in town,” and said it is the only place in metro Detroit for continuous karaoke.
The bar in Macomb County, about a half-hour outside of Detroit, offers karaoke seven nights a week starting at 9 p.m. and going until closing.
Zodiac Entertainment puts on karaoke, and they also have a Lord and Lady Karaoke contest, which you can ask about when you visit.
Renegades Bar – 33729 Ford Rd. in Garden City
Many people may not think of country music for karaoke (except Friends in Low Places” – duh), but Renegades is a “fun country-rock karaoke establishment.
The bar has karaoke Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m, and offers a full kitchen and bar, with the kitchen open until 1 p.m. during the nights.
The bar has country and southern rock music and said there’s a themed interior that helps set the mood.
Midnight Karaoke – 2767 Plymouth Rd. In Ann Arbor
If you’re not ready to step up to the mic in front of a big group of strangers, Midnight Karaoke is just for you. The karaoke at Midnight Karaoke is in a private room with professional audio equipment.
They also have songs in English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Bahasa Malaysia, Vietnamese, Indonesian and more.
The space has free juices, iced teas, and sodas for people to drink, and they have rooms available to rent by the hour.
168 Crab and Karaoke – 32415 John R. in Madison Heights
168 Crab & Karaoke is a great spot to have some fun and try some delicious seafood. This space also offers private karaoke rooms, where you can sing loudly with friends and family.
The restaurant says it has the best Cajun seafood in time and also includes a complete song list.
They have small rooms that can host 1-8 people and VIP rooms that can host up to 28 people. If you want an even larger group, the club room hosts up to 60 people.
