Stay Warm and Stylish in the Latest Detroit Winter Wear

Winter in Detroit is no joke. It’s gray, it’s snowy, and most of all, it’s cold. But, there are plenty of shops that offer great outfits that will keep you cozy, warm and stylish, and even help you represent the city.

Alter Ego Boutique

Alter Ego has been promoting “sweater weather” season on its Instagram, and they have some of the coolest and most fashionable sweaters in Detroit. Their Camille sweaters will help you “stay warm and cozy” and can also be turned into a scarf.

Ferne Boutique

Ferne has locations in Detroit’s New Center and Ann Arbor and has tops and bottoms that will keep you warm and looking great. Their jackets and shackets range in different colors and styles, and they even have a Sherpa or a “bundle up” coat that is bound to keep you warm. Joggers are also the hot item of the winter, and Ferne has a variety of types and materials, including the tie-dye “GRL PWR” that will show off your strength.

Peppertree Rochester

Right on the Peppertree website, you can go into their “world of fashion” which has incredibly stylish coats for the winter. There are puff jackets, jackets with fur hoods, stylish leather jackets and more. The boutique wants you to be “beautiful, glamorous and confident.”

Savvy Chic Boutique

Grosse Pointe’s Savvy Chic Boutique has been advertising their “winter style that’s just right, no matter what the weather forecast says.” They have a variety of sweaters – from off-shoulder to turtleneck, and jackets that are both classy and comfortable. If that isn’t your style, you can go with leopard-print combat boots that are sure to stand out.

Glitz & Ears Boutique

This location has all the winter essentials you’ll need from top to bottom, all the way to the ground. Their plaid and checker-print boots are comfy, warm and stylish, and they also offer rhinestone ankle boots.

MuskOx

For the guys in your life, MuskOx has rugged, outdoor apparel that also looks good and is comfortable. The Detroit-based company said they “make clothing that brings the outdoors into our everyday life.” They have flannels, hoodies and pullovers, plus puffer vests, jackets, flannel jackets and more. Their clothing is bound to keep you warm and looking good for many months of the year.

Pure Detroit

Pure Detroit has six locations in the city and an online shop, with clothing items of all kind showing off Detroit.

If you want to stay warm in the house, they have fleece sweatpants featuring the Spirit of Detroit on them. There’s also a variety of hoodies and crewnecks with “Detroit,” “313,” “Detroit Soul” and more on them. It’s perfect for those warm winter days when temperatures are in the upper 30s and it feels like spring.

Ink Detroit

Located in Hazel Park and posted up weekly at Eastern Market, Ink Detroit has a variety of Detroit-based clothing representing all parts of the city. One thing that is eye-catching when you’re at their booth is the “It’s So Cold In the D” adult onesie that is perfect to stay warm inside your house on those cold nights.
