Breakfast or lunch? Why choose? Instead, have brunch. While mostly a weekend meal, more and more people are enjoying brunch during the week, and restaurants continue to add brunch menus.
In Wayne County, there are so many great spots to enjoy brunch, with or without a cocktail. Below are some of the best spots.
The Jagged Fork in Grosse Pointe and Dearborn Heights
There are a few locations throughout metro Detroit, but two in Wayne County. The Jagged Fork has a regular brunch menu, a weekend menu, and a holiday menu.

You can get some great food at The Cracked Egg, located on the Detroit-Grosse Pointe Border. They have breakfast and lunch, so you can pick which way you want to go for brunch.
Give the chicken waffle sliders a try – with bacon bits and eggs – or The Cracked Egg signature omelet which comes with grilled chicken, onion, peppers, and cheese.
If you’re more into sweets, there’s a PB&J french toast, chocolate Oreo french toast, or birthday cake pancakes.
Avenue Brunch House in Dearborn
Avenue Brunch House is often updating their menu with seasonal items.
Their brunch menu focuses on eggs and omelets, benedicts, pancakes, waffles, french toast, and more, but you can also order a la Carte with starters, sandwiches, soups, or salads.
They have Beignets if you want to feel like you’re in New Orleans, or you can get a waffle with cinnamon filling, vanilla glaze, cinnamon butter, and maple syrup.

Described as a “boutique break cafe,” The Great Commoner in Dearborn has brunch every day during the week.
They offer bagels, fancy toast, and different sweet and savory items. That includes the chocolate praline french toast or steak and eggs.
