Macomb County sleighs when it comes to holiday festivities! With so many events taking place throughout the county, we say it’s time to bundle up and embrace the cold.

From holiday markets to 5k runs to tree lighting ceremonies around every corner, there is a holiday activity for everyone to enjoy!

Holiday Market at Anton Art Center

Shop small, shop local! The annual Holiday Market at the Anton Art Center is the perfect opportunity to support artists and find the perfect unique gift for your family and friends.

The market is free and open to the public and will run Nov. 17 through Dec. 23 with special events taking place throughout the season.

Tree Lighting Celebration at Partridge Creek Mall

17420 Hall Road, Clinton Twp., MI 48038

Partridge Creek Mall will host the annual tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 20 to officially light up the holiday season!

The event will feature complimentary face painters, cider and donuts, a photo booth, and entertainment such as Snow Sisters, Motown Museum’s Hitsville Next Singers, Lazer Beatz Drum Line, and Break Dancing Elves! Special appearances from Santa & Mrs. Claus will also take place as well as the tree lighting at the center court!

The first 2500 kids under 10 will get a light-up wand to help Santa light the mall’s tree.

13th Annual Jingle Bell 5k Run

Channel your holiday cheer into the 13th Annual Jingle Bell 5k Run taking place on Sunday, Dec. 18, at River Bends Park.

Day of registration and check-in opens at 7:30 am. Early packet pickup and registration also available on Saturday, Dec. 17.

A Ford House Christmas

Travel back in time and spend the holiday season with the Ford family. Enjoy a lighted shuttle ride to the house for a holiday tour of the historic home. Continue the festivities in the Visitor Center where you will partake in holiday crafts and entertainment.

Tours will take place Nov. 18 to Dec. 30 $18 for adult members, $20 for adult non-members and $9 for children, $12 for children non-members.

Macomb Township Holiday Tree Lighting & After Glow

Welcome the holiday season at Macomb Townships annual Holiday Lighting taking place on Friday, Dec. 2. This free event begins outside with caroling, the arrival of Santa and a holiday lighting display.

You can also enjoy refreshments, crafts, music, live reindeer, photos with Santa and giveaways inside the Recreation Center.

The Annual Bay-Rama Christmas Tree Lighting

The Annual Christmas Tree Lighting in New Baltimore will take place on Monday, Dec. 5 at the intersection of Alfred and Washington with treats, refreshments, and pictures with Santa at the New Baltimore Civic Club!

Event will kick off at 6:45 p.m. with a sing-a-long from Anchor Bay Middle School North!

Holiday Lights at the Farm

Wolcott Mill Metropark, Farm Center

Get in to the holiday spirit at the Wolcott Mill Metropark Farm Center. Stroll through the farm and enjoy traditional holiday decorations and thousands of sparkling lights. Write letters to Santa at the letter writing station, then visit with him in his workshop in the Dairy Barn. Enjoy holiday music while visiting resident animals and take a tractor drawn wagon ride around the farm fields to check out the holiday light displays.

Event takes place Dec. 2-3, 9-10, 16-17 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Downtown Utica Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration and Fireworks

The city of Utica will host their Downtown Utica Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration and Fireworks on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. and it’s said to be the City’s biggest and best yet!

Highlights of the event includes Fox 2 Detroit’s Lori Pinson as the master of ceremonies, Rachel and Grunwald from WYCD 99.5 Morning Crew as special guests, and a large-scale fireworks spectacular!

Blake’s Holiday Extravaganza

Kick off the holidays with a festive tree lighting on Sat., Nov. 19 as Blake’s Farm lights their very own tree for the holiday season. In the spirit of the season, guests are invited to decorate a special Giving Tree benefitting Rainbow Connection.

The event will run through Sunday, Nov. 2 allowing guests to enjoy the sounds of carolers and live music, visit with live reindeer, experience a horse-drawn carriage ride, take a train ride to see Santa, shop for unique gifts at the Artisan Market, complimentary holiday crafts for kids and so much more.
