Detroit Symphony Orchestra celebrates Detroit’s 313 Day with $3.13 tickets to select concerts when purchased on March 13

To celebrate Detroit's 313 Day, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is offering $3.13 tickets for select concerts on March 13th.

Detroit, (March 8, 2023) – The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will celebrate Detroit’s 313 Day by offering tickets to select concerts for $3.13 when purchased on March 13. Patrons may visit dso.org/313day to view available concerts and purchase tickets at the discounted rate via a promotional code, which will be posted at the URL beginning on March 9.

The concerts available for the promotion are:

  • CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE’S NEW JAWN: March 24 at 8 p.m. – Paradise Jazz Series
  • HADELICH & STRAVINSKY: April 27 at 7:30 p.m., April 28 at 10:45 a.m., April 29 at 8 p.m. – PVS Classical Series
  • LEILA JOSEFOWICZ & MENDELSSOHN’S SYMPHONY NO. 3: May 19 at 8 p.m. and May 20 at 8 p.m. – PVS Classical Series
  • EARTH DAY IS EVERY DAY: May 20 at 10 a.m. – Tiny Tots (General Admission)
  • YOUNG PERSON’S GUIDE TO THE ORCHESTRA: May 20 at 11 a.m. – Young People’s Family Concert Series
  • RESPECT: A TRIBUTE TO ARETHA FRANKLIN: May 26 at 8 p.m. – PNC Pops Series (Limited availability)

WHAT: DSO offers tickets to select concerts for $3.13 when purchased on March 13, 2023. $3.13 is the total price per ticket (fees waived for this promotion), subject to availability, exclusions apply.

WHO: The acclaimed Detroit Symphony Orchestra is known for trailblazing performances, collaborations with the world’s foremost musical artists, and a deep connection to its city. This promotion is open to all, including DSO subscribers, donors, and single ticket buyers, as well as the general public.

WHEN: Tickets must be purchased between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, March 13, 2023 to be eligible for the promotional rate.

WHERE: Tickets can be purchased at dso.org/313day or by calling the Box Office at 313.576.5111, open on March 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patrons can also purchase tickets in-person at the Box Office, located within the DSO’s home of the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center at 3711 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI 48201. Patrons purchasing tickets online must use the promotional code to access the discounted rate; patrons purchasing tickets via phone or in-person must reference the 313 Day promotion.

WHY: Michiganders recognize 313 Day as a celebration of the City of Detroit and its famous area code. The DSO is deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of Detroit, with a commitment to delivering the inspiration of music and human connection to all.

The DSO offers this promotion so that more people from the city and beyond may experience world-class performances by their DSO and acclaimed guest artists at Orchestra Hall (one of the world’s most acoustically perfect concert halls) and The Cube (the DSO’s black box performance space, which presents consciously curated arts programming that spans across musical and artistic genres).
