Let the countdown begin! Bedrock and Afro Nation reveal that Afrobeats superstar Rema will take the stage as Afro Nation Detroit's headline performer this August 2024 at Bedrock's Douglass Site.

WHEN:

Saturday, Aug. 17 and Sunday, Aug. 18, 2024

WHERE:

Bedrock's Douglass Site, Detroit

Afro Nation Detroit's initial artist lineup will include:

Rema, PartyNextDoor, Adekunle Gold, Ayra Starr, Kash Doll, Amaarae, Ruger, King Promise, Scorpion Kings, Uncle Waffles, Musa Keys, DBN Gogo, Kelvin Momo, TXC, Kamo Mphela, 2WoBunnies, DJ Moma

Located in a city with a rich history of innovation and excellence in Black music, and on festival grounds that were once the site of a housing project home to legends like Diana Ross and Smokey Robinson, Afro Nation Detroit celebrates Detroit's musical legacy with live performances from some of the world's hottest Afrobeats, Amapiano, R&B, and Hip-Hop artists.

"Bringing Afro Nation back to Detroit, the home of Motown and Techno music, was an easy decision," said Smade, Co-Founder of Afro Nation. "Detroit embodies culture, creativity, and pride. The energy here is electric, echoing the heartbeat of Afro Nation's spirit. In Detroit, we found a community that welcomed us with open arms, sharing our passion for unity and celebration, giving us a home away from home. Afro Nation Detroit 2024 will be even bigger than last year, and we can't wait to celebrate with you."

ABOUT:

Launched in 2019 with critical acclaim by Nigerian creative industry entrepreneurs Obi Asika, and Smade, Afro Nation is the biggest Afrobeats celebration in the world and a fast growing global cultural influence. The brand made waves with events in Portugal, Puerto Rico, and Ghana, crafting events that unite the diaspora and deliver culturally-important music to an underserved audience. Past artists include Burna Boy, Davido, Meek Mill, Megan Thee Stallion, Scorpion Kings, Major League DJz and many more. In 2023, AfroNation hosted its first two festivals in the United States: May's AfroNation Miami, headlined by Burna Boy and WizKid, and August's Afro Nation Detroit, headlined by Burna Boy and Davido. A celebration of African and Global Black music in one of the world's most historic music cities, Afro Nation Detroit returns in August 2024.
