The Ford Fireworks is set for a stunning summer show over the Detroit River on Monday, June 24 at 10 p.m. In its 66th edition, this brilliant fireworks display will drench the Detroit skyline in color and attract hundreds of thousands of spectators to downtown Detroit. The Ford Fireworks, produced by The Parade Company, is recognized as one of the largest and most magnificent shows in America and broadcast live on WDIV-Local 4.

“The Ford Fireworks inspires awe and excitement in Detroit and well beyond with a magnificent fireworks display lighting up a truly iconic American skyline,” said Tony Michaels, president & CEO, The Parade Company. “We are once again honored and privileged to work with the amazing team at Ford Motor Company to bring the people of Detroit and our region this incredible event for the 66th year.”

“Ford is proud to be a longtime partner of The Parade Company and to support one of the most cherished events of the summer,” said Mary Culler, president, Ford Motor Company Fund. “We look forward to bringing everyone together again to celebrate and honor America, our great city and the people and communities that make Detroit so special.”

As producers of the Ford Fireworks, The Parade Company selects the musical arrangement and works exclusively with Zambelli Fireworks to create the world-class display made up of more than 10,000 pyrotechnic effects that are visible for miles along the Detroit River. This year’s show – themed “Color the Sky with Sunshine” – is once again free and open to the public with amazing views from Hart Plaza, Belle Isle, and beyond.

Limited tables and tickets are available for the Ford Fireworks Rooftop Party presented by Ford Motor Company, offering the best seats in the city to view the fireworks. Guests will enjoy live music with Your Generation in Concert, catering by Andiamo, games, giveaways and more. To learn more, visit www.theparade.org or call 313-923-7400. All proceeds benefit the Michigan Thanksgiving Parade Foundation.

The Ford Fireworks can be viewed on WDIV-Local 4’s live broadcast from the event. 760 WJR and Paul W. Smith will also provide special radio coverage. For more information on The Parade Company events, visit www.theparade.org. Follow the event on social media at #fordfireworks.
