In these unprecedented times, the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau is taking bold, proactive steps to ensure visitors to the metro Detroit area feel safe at all times. One of those steps is the Go Safely Initiative, which aims to ensure visitors that our community is committed to their health and welfare.
Through Go Safely, DMCVB members are asked to take the Go Safely Pledge or receive GBAC STAR Accreditation. Both are a declaration that they are committed to putting the proper safety protocols in place to create a safe environment and protect your welfare.

The DMCVB has partnered with the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC), a division of the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA), the cleaning industry’s top accreditation for cleaner and safer spaces. GBAC STAR Accreditation is globally recognized.
The following metro Detroit businesses have taken strict measures and implemented several cleaning protocols to become GBAC STAR accredited.
• Current Executive Orders from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
• State of Michigan Safe Start Plan. Metro Detroit is considered Region 1 and is currently in Phase 4 of the Michigan Safe Start Plan.
