Overview
Sexy, explosive, and completely original—Ballets Jazz Montréal (BJM) arrives in Detroit with one of this season’s most anticipated tour de force in Dance Me. Developed with the personal blessing of Leonard Cohen, Dance Me is more than a tribute; it is a breathtaking translation of a legend’s soul into physical form.
Ballets Jazz Montréal doesn’t just move to Cohen’s songs—they surrender to them. Through movement, they capture the mood and essence that made Cohen such an icon. From the depth of his voice to the sharp wit of his lyrics, these world-class dancers embody the very rhythm of his poetry. The result? A performance where impeccable technique meets raw, individual personality.
